February- black history month

This is the shortest month of the year according to the Gregorian calender. I do not adhere to it though.

I follow the abyssinian ortodox Christian coptic church calender which stems from the Julian one.

It is 2016 right now. There are  13 months spread out equally over the year with 12 months containing 30 days each and the exceptional  13th one has either 5 or 6 days depending on whether it is a leap year or not.

The reason that I am taking up this is because february is officially  black history month in north America.

Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the United States, where it is also known as African-American History Month.

It has received official recognition from governments in the United States and Canada, and more recently has been observed in Ireland and the United Kingdom

It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated in February in the United States[4] and Canada,[5] while in Ireland and the United Kingdom it is observed in October.[6][7]

The history of black people should be observed all over the year as it is the history of humanity and humility.

I do understand the circumstances and undelying conditions  that have brought us here.

Our brothers and sisters in north America went through a lot of upheavals and turbulant times.

They are still facing a lot of challenges on a dayily basis.

So the black history month has an enormous importance there.

The genocide and inhuman treatment of black people continues unabated.

Slavery and colonialism continue in a different manner.

I would like therefore  to mobilize the global south in Africa, Asia, Latinamerika and the Carribean to  be  part and parcel of a new movement.

It is about time that we created a more inclusive global mobilization against the West.

The black century/millennium is now and the time is right.

The amazing history, culture, civilization and advancement of the African continent needs to be  on the spotlight without the involvment of babylonians who delibrately portray us only negatively.

We can not and should not allow others to tell us what we are or what to believe in.

We are afterall people with a rich history that needs to be told by ourselves.

A month of february is not enough but at least is a spring board for  greater times ahead for humanity in general and  people of colour in particular.
