I hope that your x-mas shall be a thoughtful one with less material consumtion. An AfricanAmerican man was killed in New York the other day when a stampede broke out while people were running to shop clothes from wal-mart.
This is a human tragedy ,for the 34 year old man who worked as a security guard, his family and friends, of a paramount magnitude.....yet ordinary people reacted as if nothing had happened and some were even heard saying...."I have been waiting since yesterday morning!"So they continued with their shopping.
I wonder what is going on with humanity.......globalization has meant consuming to death. People are afraid of confronting themselves and the reality which we are living in. They think that they will be more happy if they use more. What a horrible attitude!

Hermano! que tal!!! I REALLY DETEST GLOBALIZATION! ALL IS WRONG AND PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE ABOUT THAT, there is a big story behind, after the World War II and as part of the very called 'Cold War', the autodominated : Occidental World, created the termn: DEVELOPMENT, which would be achieved through industrialization and ampliation of the market, so from there the developed and subdeveloped countries... the second ones should follow those orientations to be as the first ones...(according to the american Rostow) (PFFFFF) but, some investigations related to environmental problems caused by the 'development', alerted about this, so a new and magic termn was invented:'GLOBALIZATION', to say that everybody is in the same 'ship' and that we must accept the historic situation produced; mmmm because opening markets and giving the natural resources to the big enterprises, these ones will get the very required wellness that all the emergent countries need....So what I strongly believe is that there are 6 words (and according to one of my History teacher)that handle the GOVERNABILITY that the SYSTEM hardly needs: SUPERIOR RACES, EVANGELIZATION, CIVILIZATION, DEVELOPMENT AND GLOBALIZATION. WHEN PEOPLE WILL REALIZE ABOUT THESE, THERE WILL BE ANOTHER MAGIC TERM... WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Christianity, westernization, civilization, industrialization and now globalization have affected humanity so badly that it is difficult to asses the overall damage....
I hate consumption......we have to have a revolution against the neo-liberals who advocate that the market is the medicine for everything.
