The very origin of language has to do with the very existence of Humanity. The variety and diversity of languages and cultures in the world implies how fast human development has spread linguistically.
Migration and displacement of people for different reasons has indeed contributed in that respect. God knows how many languages and dialects currently exist but to say thousands is an understatement.
Language has certainly existed as long as we have existed in different forms, shapes and levels of civilizations. Communication and understanding each other through language is something that is taken for granted but the cultural aspect and multidimensional parameters of its impact are often unappreciated.
There is a limit for the scope of the ambition and aspiration to achieve a certain goal both in the public and private sphere. The significance of language to enrich our lives and reach out others is beyond anyone´s doubt.
In African philosophy, “Language is a mirror of thoughts. Vocabulary and grammar help in the understanding of the conceptual frameworks and logical thought patterns of people.” (Seminar on African philosophy1976: 317).
My mission as a human-being is first and foremost to socialize, contextualize, deconstruct, humanize, rationalize and universalize in all my relationships with all creatures. These endeavours to make the world a better place would be fatal without language thereby I speak, therefore I exist.

I really agree, language is one of the most important things in life. It becomes so obvious when one moves to another country. As for me, my level of Moroccan Arabic enables me to interact with moroccans, though since I am not fluent, I cant interact to 100%. So I am partly let into the society, but fully.
And since french is the administrative language, I am totaly blocked from understanding all offical documents.
Of course, this things well soon change, since Im determant to learn both these languages to a 100%. Though when one moves from ones native country, it becomes obvious . language is everything.
It is what distinguishes us from the animals, an hence makes us human, and it is the essence of every form of meaningful communication.

Good morning how are you?
My name is Emilio, I am a Spanish boy and I live in a town near to Madrid. I am a very interested person in knowing things so different as the culture, the way of life of the inhabitants of our planet, the fauna, the flora, and the landscapes of all the countries of the world etc. in summary, I am a person that enjoys traveling, learning and respecting people's diversity from all over the world.
I would love to travel and meet in person all the aspects above mentioned, but unfortunately as this is very expensive and my purchasing power is quite small, so I devised a way to travel with the imagination in every corner of our planet. A few years ago I started a collection of used stamps because trough them, you can see pictures about fauna, flora, monuments, landscapes etc. from all the countries. As every day is more and more difficult to get stamps, some years ago I started a new collection in order to get traditional letters addressed to me in which my goal was to get at least 1 letter from each country in the world. This modest goal is feasible to reach in the most part of countries, but unfortunately it’s impossible to achieve in other various territories for several reasons, either because they are countries at war, either because they are countries with extreme poverty or because for whatever reason the postal system is not functioning properly.
For all this I would ask you one small favor:
Would you be so kind as to send me a letter by traditional mail from Eritrea? I understand perfectly that you think that your blog is not the appropriate place to ask this, and even, is very probably that you ignore my letter, but I would call your attention to the difficulty involved in getting a letter from that country, and also I don’t know anyone neither where to write in Eritrea in order to increase my collection. a letter for me is like a little souvenir, like if I have had visited that territory with my imagination and at same time, the arrival of the letters from a country is a sign of peace and normality and an original way to promote a country in the world.
